A downloadable game for Windows

You have broken into someones house. You hear there is some kind of stash in the basement. Steal what you can, and get out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Burglary is a short experience that should take around ten to twenty minutes to complete. It was originally created in 2017 as a personal challenge to build a game from scratch in less than a week. The game was completed in a few days, then abandoned in favor of other projects.  Much later, I was looking through my old projects and decided, since Burglary was essentially finished, I might as well release it online for free.
So I made some minor tweaks, added an alternate ending, fixed a couple of bugs, and packaged it up.

It's a very short, flawed game. But perhaps someone will find some entertainment in it.

-Update-

Added brightness slider to pause menu, and slightly increased radius and intensity of the flashlight.

I'm not sure but I think the 64Bit game is 32 bit and the 34 is 64 the reason for my saying that is my computer is 64 but the 64Bit  Burglary wont launch but the 32 bit works maybe there miss marked ?

I just checked and they appear to be correctly labeled. Either way, a 64 bit system should be able to run both versions. Not sure what the issue is but I'd guess something went wrong during the download.

OK perhaps that was it the mane thing is I can play it

i can't GET THE GAME WHEN I DOWNload it says file missing

that means your internet is too slow to download it fast enough until itch automatically deletes the cache

this was completely different from what I was expecting and I was terrified at the end! This game had me on the edge of my seat! Awesome job, the suspense and mystery was worth the time!

It keeps going :O

I really like the unsettlingness of the house, the low view distance, and even the creepy sounds our walking made. Once I said that I was breaking into a house though, my dog Chip started licking my elbow telling me I shouldn't do bad things. So we took a non-stealing approach and found the good ending. Thanks a lot for the interesting game, and I look forward to what else you make

Was interesting, the only thing I didn't like was it was SOOOOO long, with basically ONE jumpscare, barely even a jumpscare

Greetings from Germany! Good game, I enjoyed playing it. I really loved the simplistic sounddesign, the atmosphere was just great. The only thing I didn't like was the fact, that nothing special really happened till the end. Walking through the same place again and again where nothing really happens got a bit boring after a while. But the face at the end was really scary, probs for that. All in all it was a good spooky experience. Keep the good work up. :)

damn this game was creepy!! then when i came near enough face to face with it.. hah well... awesome job on making this game :D

Good atmosphere, enjoyed this!

Dear Dev,

This game is well made, atmosphere is good too, I like repeat games, i just want to give you a suggestion for your next update if you plan so....add  some paranormal activities  or some jump scares, it will enhance the over all experience of this game...Right now It makes you bore while exploring the house. Please consider these thing if you like.

I had fun!!

The atmosphere of the game is good. Unfortunately, the environment is too dark to see anything, even the face at the end of the game.

Seems like I forgot to add a gamma slider to the pause menu. When I have time I'll put one in.
Thanks.
EDIT: Game has been updated. There is now a brightness slider in the pause menu.
